Sierra Sky Park, Fresno California

NEW! Fresno Market Conditions

Review local market conditions and information

Sierra Sky Park is known as America's First - Aviation Community
William Smilie developed the nation's first planned aviation community in 1946. A residential airpark is an airport surrounded by homeowners who like airplane noise! Almost every house at Sierra Sky Park has either a hangar or a plane port-which can be described as a taxi-through hangar. There are 110 home-sites adjacent to Runway 12/30 at Sierra Sky Park in Fresno, California. The streets are 60 to 80 feet wide and street signs are no more than 2 feet high, so it is easy and safe to maneuver aircraft to the taxiway. The streets also accommodate the local vehicle traffic, but airplanes always have the right of way.

Sierra Sky Park

Sierra Sky Park is a privately owned, public-use airport. The 2,920-foot-long-by-50-foot-wide runway is paved and is lighted for night operations. It is 188 nm northwest of Los Angeles International Airport and 128 nm east of San Francisco International Airport. It's located seven miles northwest of the Fresno city center and is the smallest of three airports that serve Fresno-area pilots.

Sierra Sky Park is located under the Yosemite International airport's Class C airspace.  Fresno Approach Control is very good at providing assistance for Sierra Sky Park-bound pilots on 119.6 MHz. Local pilots often choose to descend below the floor of the airspace before entering the traffic pattern at 1,300 feet msl. Right traffic to Runway 12 and left traffic to Runway 30 are preferred. The calm-wind runway is Runway 30. To maintain good relations with noise-sensitive neighbors, climb straight ahead off Runway 30. Turn after crossing the San Joaquin River.

As an airplane owner, I understand the unique needs associated with aviator buyer/sellers and airplane owners.

HOW I DIFFER FROM OTHER REALTORS®:

Buyers:
I know what's available in Fresno and will work to find airpark property suitable for the unique needs of you and your family.
You will not be shuffled off as a referral to some agent that doesn't know that  "a prop wash isn't something you clean your airplane with!".  So, let me know what you are looking for and I will do my level best to find it.

Sellers:
A
ggressive marketing plays a large part. Typically, when an airpark property owner gets ready to sell, they contact some Realtor they've heard good things about.  Their listing is advertised in MLS services, real estate websites, Buyer's Guides and local newspapers - all of which do not target the aviation community. Results are fairly predictable...the property doesn't sell in a reasonable time and everyone gets frustrated.

Ground-bound real estate agents rarely know how to market aviation property and always have difficulty relating to the unique needs associated with aviator buyers and airplane owners.

If your home is not yet listed then you owe it to yourself to call me to get the rest of the marketing story and to learn how your unique property is presented to buyers.  I look forward to talking with you.
